What is Maine's Law on Road Associations
Title 23, Chapter 305, Subchapter 2 of the Maine Revised Statutes addresses construction, maintenance, and repair of private ways.
“A Guide to Forming Road Associations,” its appendices, and related information is available on the Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Road Associations website. The DEP also maintains a webpage about "Camp Roads, Unpaved Private Roads, and Other Dirt Roads."
